Kasumi san who is the owner of Wato and also a metal hammering artist.Sha was born in Hamatsu city in Shizuoka, Japan where she spent most of her time until graduating from University of Shizuoka Art and Culture.She also studied overseas in Finland for a year and  after returning from Finland in 2008, she entered  the Takaoka National College where she studied about the hammering. She launched her own brand “Wato” in 2010 after gaining some work experience as a designer in a design company in Yokohama, Japan.Ever since she has been creating many unique and beautiful items and making many of her customers happy.

Wato offers new Japanese products through making things and a wider circle of people.
They do product designs, graphic designs, package designs and web designs, make a proposal total design from Kamakura with Japanese atmosphere. And they create works based on Japanese traditional metal hammering.

They create all of their items by hand which means each piece have a slightly different expression. They put their time and soul into their products and want you to enjoy the product as long as possible.
