A history of Marujyu Seito

Marujyu Seito was established in Shigaraki, Shiga Japan in 1937 and one of the 6th oldest kilns in Japan.

The potters who work at Marujyu Seito proudly and carefully handcraft their potteries each and every day.

Each piece they create is slightly different that depends on the season, weather or maybe how the glaze is applied makes the difference.

Their philosophy for making potteries is to enjoy the difference.

The difference you see on each piece makes their potteries unique.
