Story of Fujita Metal.
Fujita metal is a small factory run by Fujita family.
It is founded in 1951 by Kenji Fujita in Osaka Japan.
They manufacture from cups to frying pans, pots and table lamps and more.
What makes Fujita metal different from those big factories is that they focus on every minute detail and they do all of the manufacturing processes in the house which sounds might be strange but many big factories we see nowadays are not fully manufacturing everything in the house often times.
The big factories have small contracted factories underneath them where they are ordered to make different parts, then assemble all of the parts at the big factories which can be cost effective and efficient which is suited for mass productions.
At Fujita metal, as they manufacture all of the parts in the house, it is not entirely efficient but they have control all over the items they use so they can make their products with more flexibility and care.
Seiichiro san the current president of Fujita metal has brought new and innovative ideas to his company and he has been experimenting lots of unique items since day one.
One of his projects was a collaboration with a small design company in Tokyo called “ Tent” where the ten Frying pan, Hachi plant pot and Ichi table lamp were born from.
After countless times of trial and error, the end products they created are well-thought-out, simple yet stylish and easy to use.
Seiichiro san says “There are things that only small factories can do and that is what he wants to bring to the users of his products.
We are very lucky to work with them and bring their passion to people around the world.
